The Endless Cycle of Joy
Poshmark & Marie Kondo Television Broadcast Commercial - Spot #1
Credits: Writer & Director
For this broadcast TV commercial, Poshmark wanted to announce their partnership with Marie Kondo. After working with Poshmark on a previous project, and being a fan of Marie Kondo’s book Tidying Up, I wrote the concept for “The Endless Cycle of Joy” by finding the overlap of the two brand’s sensibilities, while keeping the drive of the narrative tied to human connection and memory. The concept of allowing an item to spark new joy for someone once you let it go provided a framework for a variety of story options. Poshmark bought two of these concepts and we brought them to life in early 2021.
Fun fact: Because of a last minute scheduling issue, we ended up having to film Marie Kondo on green screen and composite her in during post production. We filmed background plates on set with our talent.

Educate a Girl, Empower a Nation
YouTube Social Impact & Girl Effect | Brand Documentary

The YouTube Social Impact team launched a campaign for International Day of the Girl in late 2018. The series was “Educate a Girl, Empower a Nation” and centered around four different NGOs doing work for girl’s education and support in India. I worked across all four films, but because of the tight turnaround, I suggested splitting into two units. I oversaw one of the two productions on the ground in India as a creative producer and co-director.
